LECTURER IN CRIMINAL LAW

Over  the past six years,  Jonathan has single-handedly organized the Los Angeles County Bar’s Indigent Criminal Defense Association’s MCLE programs attended by more than 2000 lawyers.  In that capacity, he  annually put together and lecture at four six-hour legal programs. Jonathan has also made presentations to the following firms  & organizations: Public Counsel, the Los Angeles County Public Defender, Knapp, Peterson and Clark; Greenberg, Glusker, et al; Music, Peeler & Garrett; Lewis, D’Amato, et al; Bloom, Hergott et al; Hansen, Jacobson, Teller & Hoberman &  Lichter,   Grossman & Nichols and Nolan Henderson (Safeco).

In February 2013, Jonathan spoke about the emerging use of  Cell Phone Technology to more than one hundred members of the Alternate Public Defender’s Office. He lectured on the use of informants to the Los Angeles County Bar’s ICDA section in September.  In the same month, Jonathan lectured on the interplay of criminal and mental health law  at the NAMI (National Association for the Mentally Ill) conference. 

In January 2014, Jonathan spoke about Criminal Law and the Los Angeles Police Department to students at the University of Southern California.  In May 2014, Jonathan lectured Pepperdine Forensic Psychology Students  on Forensic Mental Health issues. The following month, Jonathan presented to Public Counsel Attorneys on Mental Health defenses.  In November, 2015  Jonathan spoke about Sex Crimes to a Claremont McKenna Forensic Psychology Class.  In January 2016 Jonathan discussed Courtroom Testimony with fellows of the USC School of Law and Psychiatry.
